Blood-stained red

Have you watched the news?
With television all in red?
Or have you read the blood-stained papers?
News of the future dread?

Or have you read the long list
of many people missing or dead?
Along with the blood-stained hands;
no matter how they wash them, it will always stay in red

Or have you read the cemetery's bulettin
of the updated graves every day?
With a cup of coffee or te and breakfast, or in bed,
Do you cry, or laugh or pray?

Little children and young people missing
for sex or money ransom,
to demand the price from their loved ones-
death in greedy hands, or a sum that's too handsome

How about those in white collared shirts,
wealthily dressed in coats,
who walk and smile proudly,
with a pocketful of blood-stained notes

How about injustice, dishonesty and selfishness?
with their names behind the billboards of fame?
We can only question and presume
but God is the Witness to all those bloody games.
